On November 19, 2025, ITMA successfully held its Second Members’ Meeting and Fourth Working Group Plenary at Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai. Representatives from over 40 member organizations—including UnionPay, Huawei, Alipay, CEC Huada, NXP, ST, BCTC, SRTC, Newland, EmpTech, Longsys, and ChipON—joined both online and offline. The meeting focused on advancing iTAP standards, building the testing framework, and expanding the ecosystem to further drive smart terminal technologies.
The meeting was chaired by Ms. Huang Zifeng, representative of ITMA's board member organization. During the session, the ITMA Secretariat presented the iTAP technology promotion strategy and annual achievements, emphasizing a closed-loop approach from standard release to pilot deployment, driven by leading enterprises and key application scenarios. Representatives from each working group delivered systematic reports on their 2025 work summaries and key tasks for 2026, which were approved by the assembly.

The Technical Working Group reported on the development progress of the access and application layer standards, with a focus on pre-research for "tap-and-enjoy" scenarios such as payment, membership cards, and e-vouchers. They also indicated plans to collaborate with the Marketing Working Group in 2026 to further promote cross-industry adaptation and deployment.
The Testing Working Group highlighted the construction of the standard testing framework and tool development progress, outlining plans to expand testing coverage and institutionalize the validation mechanism in 2026.
During the meeting, several proposals were approved, including the iTAP Value-Added Service Standard, new application scenarios for digital vouchers and cards, and the revision of the IS 12.003 iTAP Payment Application Layer Standard.

The A&AC Working Group announced that BCTC has been authorized as the first iTAP-certified testing laboratory. Meanwhile, a third-party audit process has been initiated with CVC to establish a standardized certification system. The Marketing Working Group reported on its progress in brand activities, ecosystem development, and international collaboration, and proposed to begin early preparations for the “ITMA 2026 Summit” with the aim of building a more influential industry showcase platform.

At the meeting, ITMA presented membership plaques to the newly joined members Honor Device Co., Ltd. and Cilab GmbH, and welcomed Union Memory (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. on its successful upgrade to an Executive Member. For Kaihong Zhihui (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., which was unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts, the Secretariat will mail the membership plaque to the company after the meeting.

ITMA will continue to advance the development of technical standards and testing certifications, driving the broader adoption of “iTAP Touch-and-Go” across diverse industries. These efforts will help the smart terminal ecosystem evolve toward higher levels of integration, innovation, and competitiveness.
