2025-07-23 By Secretariat ITMA News

On July 10, 2025, the Intelligent Terminal Microelectronics Association (ITMA) held the second plenary meeting of 2025 in the Chaoyang Hall of the Westin Xi'an Hotel. The conference adopted an online and offline integration mode, bringing together more than 60 representatives from more than 40 member units, including the National Radio Monitoring Center Testing Center (SRTC), Huawei, Alipay, BGI Electronics, DiNike, and Ziguang Qingteng. The meeting focused on a number of key topics such as the preparation of iTAP technical standards and the construction of testing systems, laying a solid foundation for the implementation of technology in the second half of the year.

At the beginning of the meeting, the annual work progress of ITMA was systematically reviewed, focusing on the achievements of organizational structure optimization, including the formal establishment of the iTAP technical standards working group and the testing working group, and the continuous promotion of standard release. A number of key resolutions were adopted, including the new member onboarding process, the election of the vice chair of the Marketing Working Group, the addition of the A&AC committee candidate mechanism, and the iTAP access layer standard patent claim framework.

In the implementation of technical standards, the meeting specially reviewed the iTAP access layer and application layer standard documents, and reported in detail the progress of the revision of the access layer agreement, the draft of the access control application layer and the technical documents of the payment application layer. The relevant standards are scheduled to be officially released at the industry summit in November, when multi-scenario application demonstrations will be carried out simultaneously, covering payment, transportation, electronic tickets and smart communities.

Sun Yang, chairman of the testing working group, officially led the preparation of application layer test specifications, including access control test specifications, ticket test specifications and payment test specifications (due to technical iterative adjustments, payment test time nodes are to be determined). At the same time, it was announced that the testing center of the National Radio Monitoring Center was officially authorized by the association as the first iTAP certification testing laboratory, and Ms. Yang Jing, secretary general of the association, was awarded the license on behalf of the association. The next step will be to accelerate the development of test equipment, achieve full application layer use case coverage, and actively attract test equipment manufacturers to join and collaborate.
